10 January 2011 Holly Voice Platform Now Certified VoiceXML 2.1 Compliant Holly Connects, the premier provider of carrier-grade voice platforms and a wholly-owned subsidiary of West Corporation, today announced that its flagship product, Holly Voice Platform 5.1, has been certified compliant with the VoiceXML 2.1 standard. Holly Voice Platform is among the first interactive voice response (IVR) platforms to be certified compliant with VoiceXML 2.1, and the only such product available today for both Linux and Solaris. VoiceXML 2.1 is the latest version of a widely-adopted markup language for defining automated interactions with callers. Compliance with the VoiceXML 2.1 standard is certified by the VoiceXML Forum, an industry organization, based on rigorous testing by an independent third-party, Newfound Communications. Holly Voice Platform already had been certified compliant with the earlier VoiceXML 2.0 standard. “Certification provides added assurance to our customers that applications built to the VoiceXML 2.1 standard will function as expected when running on Holly Voice Platform,” said Rob Kassel, Vice President of Product Management, West Interactive. “This is particularly important for the many hosted voice providers that have based their infrastructure on Holly Voice Platform and need to support a diverse array of voice applications.” Back |
